8-14-12 Indians Post Game Graphing

The day was already off to a good start since I was able to get Shin-Soo Choo's autographs with the help of my dad and my friends. Tonight was the 10th Anniversary World Series Ring Figurine night and my friend Matt was nice enough to give me one since I couldn't make it out to the game.

Thanks again Matt for the Angels Ring Figurine.

Benson and I decided to mix it up a bit by graphing the Indians near the visitors tunnel. We heard that Carlos Santana parked in the back so we were waiting to get his autograph.

In terms of graphing it was relatively dead. The first person to sign for us was Vinnie Pestano who signed my 2012 Topps card.

Most of the Indians were on the hotel bus so none of them signed. The last player to walk out was Carlos Santana who was accompanied by his wife/girlfriend. Initially Carlos was not in the mood to sign even though there was only five of us waiting for him. His wife/girlfriend gave Carlos "the look" and instructed him to sign for his fans. Women have so much power over men in these situations and this was simply a memorable moment. We knew Carlos didn't want to sign for us but luckily his gf/wife was there on our side. What was funny was that she recognized another grapher who got Carlos' autograph yesterday so she told him not to sign for him. Carlos signed a ROMLB on the SS for me.

  1. That's great. I got Santana on the way in on the first day and she watched him walk in signing from the car she dropped him off in. I'm thinking she has a family member who collected so likes him to be friendly when she's around.

    1. Yea I wish more player wives or gf's were like Santana's girl. She really guilt tripped him into signing for us. The only person he didn't sign for was blonde Matt who got him the night before.
